Buying a motorcycle lift typically comes down to two factors, price and function… at least for me.  After much research into various brands, I opted for the Harbor Freight 1500lb ATV / Motorcycle lift. To be honest, the Harbor Freight lift was the only lift I found with a minimum height of 4.5″, which is also the resting height of my XL Low. Having purchased and been pleased with a Harbor Freight 3500lb floor jack, I decided to give this lift a try.

Priced at juHarborfreight Motorcycle Lift Reviewst under $100.00 and just under $80.00 after the always available 20% off coupon, the lift was a good deal.

Made entirely of steel, the Harbor Freight motorcycle lift utilizes hands free operation, so you can keep both hands on the bike while positioning on the lift. Once you begin the raise the motorcycle via the foot pump, the bike rest steadily on the wide base. The first thing I did was rock the bike while it was still low to the ground, and there was no risk of tip over or flip over. Once elevated to working height, the four welded loops let me lock the bike in place with ratchet straps for added security.
